Earlier this year, I did a studio session with my younger brother but didn't have time to process the photos. Recently, he uses one of these photos for his facebook profile which reminds me it's time to work on them.
When selecting photos for the blog post, I realized that most of the photos have very similar look. There isn't a lot of variety in terms of the subject's face as the lighting setup was unchanged throughout the entire photo session. It limits the direction where the subject's face can turn to. As you can see, most of the photos show the left side of Joseph's face. I should play around more with light placement during a session in the future.

Rose & Ivan Wedding
It was a great day. It was nice and sunny. Everything ran smoothly except that I went into a traffic jam between the ceremony and the park photo session. The reception at night was wild! You can really see that everybody were enjoying the night: dancing, laughing, and more dancing!

Congratulations Allan Tam!
One of our business portrait client, Allan Tam, won the position of School Trustee in the recent election in City of Markham. His site is here. A couple of his photos are featured in our previous post.
A good portrait may not be the most critical element of one's success. However, it can definitely leave a positive and lasting first impression.
Cheers, Gary.

Ryan and Baby Kaitlyn with Grandparents
We had a wonderful morning with two cuties - two years old Ryan and his several months old cousin Kaitlyn, along with their loving grandparents. Working with little kids is always a challenge. Nevertheless, it was a fun session.

Anna & Thomas Pre-wedding
Anna and Thomas travelled from Hong Kong to Toronto for their pre-wedding portraits. They want to capture the nature and scenic view of Toronto. We started the afternoon at a local farm in Richmond Hill and ended the session at Richmond Green Park. It was a cool, cloudy and windy September Saturday. The lovely couple showed their best under a less-than-ideal weather condition. Two thumbs up especially for Anna; she still had the sweetest smile while shivering in the cold.
